My Favorite Bird Returns to the Waterside

As the cold days grow more intense…

Around this time of year, there’s a place I can’t help but visit.
It’s a scene I saw last year that I simply can’t forget.

For a few days back then, a stork had come to stay there.

So this year, I went to check again, wondering, “Will it be here?”
And there it was!!!

Standing quietly, reflected perfectly on the water’s surface, as smooth as glass,
it felt as if the stork was saying, “I’m back.”

I’m truly so happy it has returned again this year.
I don’t know how many days it will stay this time,
but I think I’ll stop by again on my way home today.
