Try your hand at making malt pizza kneaded with malt from the brewing process, then enjoy it with beer brewed from village-grown hops. In the afternoon, tour a professional craft brewery and toast with your favorite craft beer.

Harima-grown craft beer
Do you want to brew beer using hops you’ve grown yourself — and then drink it? That passion is spreading throughout the Harima region, from rural satoyama to city gardens, as hop cultivation grows year by year.
On this tour you’ll visit the colorful Zappa Village, make malt pizza kneaded with malt from the brewing process, and toast with beer brewed from village-grown hops.
In the afternoon, head to a professional craft brewery — explore, learn about the craft, and finish with your favorite beer. Experience the vibrant craft beer culture spreading across Himeji.
- Tour period: Year-round (Saturdays, Sundays & public holidays). Weekday tours available on request.
- Minimum 6 participants (request reservation). Group size 6–10.
- No age limit if accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, alcohol will not be served to minors.
- Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Special gifts: malt financiers from Zappa Village & one bottle of local craft beer from Egre Brewery.
- Meeting point: JR Himeji Station South Charter Bus Pickup Area (immediately right of the south exit).
- After 14:20, guests wishing to stay longer may leave at JR Agaho Station to return on their own.
