桃井ミュージアム　Momoi Museum

先日、兵庫県赤穂市にある「桃井ミュージアム」へ行ってきました。
前から気になっていた場所だったのですが、実際に行ってみて本当に素敵な場所で、心からリフレッシュできました。

まず印象的だったのは、ミュージアムのお庭。よく手入れされた美しい日本庭園が広がっていて、どこを切り取っても絵になるような風景でした。お天気も良く、空の青と庭の緑がとても映えていて、散策するのが本当に気持ちよかったです。

そして、お庭や施設内には楽しい「しかけ」がたくさん！
特に印象に残っているのは、時間になると自動でシャボン玉がふわふわと出てくる演出。大人でも思わず見とれてしまうような幻想的な雰囲気で、子どもたちは大はしゃぎしていました。

もう一つ面白かったのが、子クジラのオブジェを叩くと、すぐ近くの親クジラが「怒る」ような動きをする仕掛け。思わず「ごめんね！」と言いたくなるようなリアクションで、遊び心にあふれていて印象的でした。

大人も子どももそれぞれの楽しみ方ができる、工夫に満ちた素敵な場所です。静かな癒しとちょっとしたワクワクを同時に味わえる、そんなひとときになりました。
次は季節を変えて、また訪れてみたいと思います。

The other day, I visited the Momoi Museum in Ako, Hyogo Prefecture.
I had been curious about this place for a while, and it turned out to be even more wonderful than I had imagined. It was the perfect spot to relax and refresh my mind.

One of the first things that impressed me was the beautiful garden. Carefully maintained and full of seasonal greenery and flowers, it looked like something out of a painting. The weather was perfect that day—the blue sky and the lush green garden made for a lovely atmosphere as I strolled around.

What made the experience even more special were the playful touches and interactive features scattered throughout the museum grounds.
One particularly memorable moment was when bubbles started floating through the air at a certain time, creating a magical, dreamlike scene. Even as an adult, I found myself completely enchanted—and the children nearby were absolutely thrilled.

Another fun surprise was a sculpture of a baby whale that, when tapped, causes the nearby parent whale to “get angry” and react. It was so cleverly done that I couldn’t help but laugh—and feel a little guilty for disturbing the baby whale!

The whole museum is filled with creativity and charm, making it a place that both adults and children can truly enjoy. It offered a perfect mix of calm, discovery, and a little bit of playful excitement.
I’d love to visit again during a different season to see how the garden changes.
