The private bedrock spa at Algu Blue is far more than a traditional hot stone sauna. It is a one-of-a-kind high-end wellness sanctuary that combines the energy of Japan's earth through rare Matera stone with the mineral richness of French thalassotherapy, creating an experience unlike any other in the world.
Renovated in May 2026, "Ake" is a fully private retreat space designed to immerse guests in the beauty, tranquility, and sensory elegance of traditional Japan.
Upon opening the door, guests are welcomed by a peaceful terrace garden framed by water features, lotus flowers, and seasonal scenery such as autumn leaves. Completely secluded from other guests, the space offers a deeply private environment to relax, reset, and restore both body and mind.
Based on the principles of authentic French balneotherapy, the room is carefully controlled at an optimal temperature range that minimizes stress on the body while allowing the brain and cardiovascular system to enter a profound state of relaxation.
The walls and ceiling are infused with rare Japanese volcanic Matera stone — the world's only integrated room of its kind. Gentle far-infrared heat penetrates deeply into the body, warming the core at a cellular level to support fat-burning, detoxification, circulation, and skin-beautifying effects.
The room can also be filled with a mineral-rich aerosol made from OLIGOMER® — the signature 100% freeze-dried seawater concentrate by French luxury brand Phytomer. By inhaling magnesium and over 104 trace minerals through the respiratory system, the parasympathetic nervous system is naturally activated — dramatically resetting jet lag, fatigue, and nervous system imbalance.

Thalassotherapy is a time-honoured natural therapy rooted in the belief — first articulated by Hippocrates, the father of medicine — that the sea has the power to heal. In France, it remains so well-established that treatments are covered by health insurance when prescribed by a doctor.
At ALGUE-BLUE, every treatment uses Phytomer — France's premium thalassotherapy cosmetic brand. By delivering 104 types of ocean minerals directly through the skin, our approach resets chronic fatigue, autonomic imbalance, and skin concerns from the inside out.
Our private hot rock spa rooms incorporate Matera Stone — a rare volcanic mineral found only in Japan. Its far-infrared radiation deeply warms the body at a cellular level, simultaneously boosting detoxification and metabolism.

- The Luxury Long Course (with hot rock spa) requires advance booking at least 1 day prior due to room preparation time.
- No private salon surcharge for groups of 2 or more guests.
- Male guests must book the private salon option.
- Guests who are pregnant must consult with us in advance. Treatments are not available after alcohol consumption.
- Treatment content may be adjusted based on the guest's condition on the day.
- Cancellation policy: 50% fee for cancellations the day before ／ 100% fee for same-day or no-show cancellations.
