Akuto Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company") complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations.
We are committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring its safe and appropriate handling.
1. Purpose of Use
The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
- To verify the user’s identity when using our services.
- For analysis and statistics related to our business and market research.
- To contact the user during the period they are using our services.
2. Provision to Third Parties
The Company will not provide personal data to third parties without the user's consent, except in the following cases:
- When the user has given prior consent.
- When personal data is shared with business partners to the extent necessary for the stated purpose.
- When disclosure is required by law or by legal authorities such as courts, police, or bar associations.
- When otherwise required by law or with legitimate justification.
3. Management of Personal Information
We manage personal information appropriately.
If we outsource work such as data processing or shipment, we will only contract with service providers that are capable of handling personal data properly and will sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure proper data handling.
4. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, or Deletion
Users may request disclosure of their personal information.
If inaccuracies are found, we will investigate and take appropriate measures, such as correction, addition, or deletion of the information.
🚲 Bicycle Rental Terms & Conditions
This agreement sets forth the terms and conditions under which Akuto Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company") offers its rental bicycles. By using this service, the customer (hereinafter "the User") agrees to comply with these terms.
1. Reservations and Applications
Reservations may be made:
- By phone or email at least 2 days before use
- In person at our office
At the time of application, users must complete a rental form and present valid ID (driver's license, passport, health insurance card, student ID, etc.). We may photocopy the ID.
Only high school students or older may apply as the representative user.
Providing false information may result in refusal of service.
Please notify us promptly if you wish to change or cancel your reservation. If you are late beyond your reserved time, your reservation may be canceled.
2. Rental Fees & Period
- ¥1,650 for up to 3 hours
- ¥550 for each additional hour (up to 8 hours)
- Rental hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (same day only)
Late returns will incur a late fee of ¥1,100 per hour.
If the bicycle is not returned and we deem the situation malicious (e.g., no contact for an extended time), we may file a report with the police.
Payment is in advance by cash or credit card (VISA, MasterCard only).
3. Rental Conditions
- Pickup and return must be done within business hours (9:30 – 17:30).
- One bicycle per person.
- Children under elementary school age or under 151 cm in height may not be eligible to rent.
4. Return Location
Bicycles must be returned to the original rental location.
If a return at another location is unavoidable, additional fees may apply.
5. Bicycle Malfunctions
Flat tires: Please visit a nearby bike shop for repairs at your own expense.
Other issues: Return the bicycle to the rental location. If the damage is due to user negligence, repair costs must be covered by the user.
Unauthorized repairs will not be reimbursed. The Company is not responsible for damages caused by malfunctions unless due to our negligence.
6. Theft or Loss
If the bicycle is lost or stolen during use, contact the Company immediately.
If the theft occurred due to user negligence (e.g., left unlocked), a penalty fee may be charged.
7. Accidents
The Company is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from accidents during the rental period.
In case of an accident, the user must:
- Contact the police
- Report the details (date, location, cause, etc.) to the Company
- Handle any settlements at their own responsibility
If the Company incurs damages or must pay compensation to third parties due to the accident, the user may be required to cover such costs.
8. Lost or Damaged Keys
If the key is lost or broken, a replacement fee of ¥7,000 will be charged.
If the bicycle is stolen due to being left unlocked, a penalty may apply.
9. Prohibited Acts
Users must not:
- Ride under the influence or operate the bicycle recklessly
- Use the bike in dangerous or inappropriate areas
- Park in prohibited zones or obstruct pedestrian/bicycle traffic
- Modify the bicycle
- Continue to ride when a malfunction is detected (e.g., flat tire)
- Let anyone other than the applicant use the bicycle
10. Changes to Terms
Terms, hours, fees, and services may change without prior notice.
11. Cancellations
Cancellation fees apply:
- 50% the day before
- 100% on the day of reservation
Violation of these terms may result in immediate cancellation without refund.
The user may also be liable for any damages caused to the Company or third parties.
