Located just about one hour from Himeji Castle, our village preserves the timeless beauty of traditional Japanese rural landscapes, historic shrines, and warm community life.
The Village Revitalization Project was born from conversations with overseas visitors who shared a strong desire to experience authentic Japanese culture — not just as observers, but as participants.
At the same time, like many rural areas in Japan, our community faces challenges from a declining birthrate and aging population. The local elementary school is at risk of closure. This project was created to support the village’s future through cultural exchange and meaningful participation.

Tour Highlights
🏯 Visit Mount Shosha & Engyo-ji Temple🏯
Explore Mount Shosha, a scenic mountain west of Himeji City, and visit Engyo-ji Temple, a historic Tendai sect temple with over 1,000 years of history. Ride the cable car to the summit and experience the tranquility of this magnificent temple complex surrounded by nature.
🌾 Experience Rural Village Scenery & Lunch
Travel about an hour into the countryside, where traditional Japanese landscapes and historic shrines remain. Relax in a peaceful natural environment and immerse yourself in the charm of Japan’s original landscape and locally grown vegetables lunch.

- The tour will operate with a minimum of 10 participants.
- Children 3 years old and under who do not require a meal or a seat will not be counted toward the minimum number of participants.
- However, please be sure to inform us in advance if you will be bringing a child.
