My Visit to the Kamiari Festival at Izumo Taisha

I recently visited Izumo Taisha for the Kamiari Festival, which has become an annual tradition for me.
The weather on the day of my visit was absolutely beautiful—clear blue skies and crisp, refreshing air. Walking through the shrine grounds felt incredibly uplifting, as if the peaceful atmosphere itself was gently clearing my mind.

A cold wave was forecast to arrive the following day, so I felt truly fortunate to have been able to visit on such a perfect day. It almost felt as though the gods had nudged me, saying, “Come today.” The sacred atmosphere unique to Kamiarizuki combined with the soft sunlight made the entire experience unforgettable.

This time, I also visited Miho Shrine, known as the head shrine of Ebisu, the deity of prosperity, good fortune, and fisheries. Located in a quiet port town, the shrine has a calm and soothing atmosphere. Spending time there felt peaceful and grounding, adding a wonderful balance to the day.

Both the Kamiari Festival at Izumo Taisha and my visit to Miho Shrine are traditions I cherish deeply. I’m grateful to have been able to make my annual pilgrimage again this year, and I already look forward to returning next season.

先日、出雲大社の神在祭に行ってきました

先日、毎年の恒例行事となっている 出雲大社の神在祭 へ今年も参拝してきました。
当日は本当に気持ちのいい快晴で、澄んだ青空の下、境内を歩くたびに心がすっと軽くなるような、そんな清々しい一日でした。

天気予報では「翌日から寒波が来る」と言われていたので、まるで神さまに「今日おいで」と背中を押されたかのように、絶好のタイミングで参拝できたことをとても嬉しく感じました。神在月ならではの厳かな空気と優しい日差しが重なり、忘れられない時間になりました。

そして今回は、出雲大社だけでなく、美保神社（美穂神社） にも足を延ばしてきました。
こちらは「えびす様の総本宮」として知られる神社で、漁業・商売繁盛・ご縁の守護神として多くの方が参拝されています。静かな港町の雰囲気と相まって、とても落ち着いた心地よいひとときを過ごすことができました。

出雲大社の神在祭と美保神社の参拝、どちらも毎年欠かさず訪れたいと感じる大切な行事です。今年も無事にお参りできたことに感謝しつつ、また来年もこの季節が楽しみです。
